I am currently finishing up a book entitled "Three Ways to Absolutely, Positively, Definitely, Destroy Your Life." It is taken from a message the Lord gave me for the church that I pastor. The foundational passage for this book is found in Romans 1:18 through the end of the chapter. There are three steps hidden in these verses that the Lord revealed to me. Here is a sample from the section in the book entitled "Repeat."

"If we are anything, we are repeaters. Very few of us seem to be learners. I told my children as they were growing up, “a fool doesn’t learn from his mistakes, but a wise man learns from the mistakes of others!” The “Do not repeat” lesson is essential for living a successful life. One of the reasons Bible history is so critical is to demonstrate the failures and errors of days gone by."

Look around you and study the scriptures. If there is anything you will discover, it is that people repeat the same mistakes of those gone before them. It happens every day. Hopefully you and I will be different, smarter! If we use wisdom and investigate history, we can avoid repeat performances of historic blunders. I do not want to be ignorant! I do not what to stumble over things that should be obvious. I must walk circumspectly. That is what Paul said...

Eph 5:15  See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Eph 5:16  Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Eph 5:17  Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Take some time today and consider your choices and decisions. Be careful not to repeat the same proven mistakes from the past!
